Raymond, Steve and the teacher discussed how we fare the 7th week's "Maryland lock-down" due to coronavirus outbreak
We discussed the following issues:

1. Jīntiān
shì yīn tiān, dànshì wǒ zài zǎoshang 8:00 Zuǒyòu Yǒu yángguāng shí chūqù zǒu
zǒule (It is cloudy today. But I went out walking when the sun was
shinging)
2. Wǒ
bèi tòng, wúfǎ pǎobù. Wǒ yǒu gǔzhí shūsōng zhèng wèntí (I can not run due
to backache problem; I have osteopenia)
3. Wǒ
Tàitài yěyǒu zhège wèntí (My wife also has this problem)
4. Nánxìng
yěyǒu gǔzhí shūsōng zhèng de wèntí (Men also have osteoporosis problems)
5. Kěnéng
Yàzhōu rén bù hē niúnǎi gài de shíwù (Maybe Asians do not like milk with
calcium food)
6. Jones
Hopkins dàxué yào děngdào liù yuè cáinéng zhīdào zàixiàn jiàoxué shìfǒu réng
zài jiǔ yuè jìnxíng (Johns Hopkins University will not know until June to
see if the on-line learning will be still on in September
7. Xuéxiào
gěi wǒmen zìyóu xuǎnzé (The school gives us freedom to choose our own)

85 suì de tóngshì hěn hàipà, bù xǐhuān shǐyòng zàixiàn jiàoxué (my 85 years
old colleague is afraid, and he does not like to use on-line teaching)
9. FDA
yě hěn zìyóu de ràng wǒmen zìjǐ xuǎnzé zìjǐ (FDA is also very flexible to
let us choose our own)
10. MTA 200

bus from Frederick to University of Maryland is not in service now)

the airline tickets for June’s trip to Taiwan, but the airline company will not
give us refund. They only gave us
credits – holding on the reservation for two years)
12. Fēijī
kěyǐ fēi dào yàzhōu, dàn bùnéng fēi dào ōuzhōu. Wǒ de ruìdiǎn (Sweden) Bā
yuè kāi huì, Wǒ hái bù zhīdào (The flying to Asia is OK, but not Europe. My trip to Sweden for meeting in August is
not known yet.
13. Jīnnián
niándǐ, cái huì yǒu COVID-19 yìmiáo. Gilead de Remdesvir Zhǐ shì zhìliáo
(COVID-19 vaccine will not be ready until the end of this year, Gilead’s
Remdesivir is only for treatment)
14. Jīntiān
shì běn xuéqí de zuìhòu yītáng kè (Today is the last school day for this
semester)
15. Dàn
wǒmen kěnéng huì kǎolǜ zài xiàTiān jìxù zàixiàn jiàoxué (But we might think
about continuing on-line teaching in the summer)
16. Wǒ
hěn gāoxìng wèi nín jiàoxué (I enjoy teaching for you all)
17. Wǒmen
yě xǐhuān nín wèi wǒmen jiāoshū, dàn wǒ bù xǐhuān xiě jiātíng zuòyè. (We
like the idea for you to teach us too.
But I do not like to do writing homework)
18. Wǒ
réngrán bìxū jiàoshǐ dì wén rúhé xiě hànzì. (I still must teach Steven how
to write Chinese characters)

méiyǒu bàngzi dǎ nǐ. Lǎoshī, xièxiè (I have no rods to punish you 書宗though. Thank you teacher)

ràng wǒ yǔ xiàozhǎng tǎolùn. Yěxǔ wǒmen xiàtiān kěyǐ měi yuè liǎng cì shòukè
(Let me discuss with the principal first; maybe we can have on-line teaching
about twice a month in the summer)

book to illustrate and explain how the written word as originated.
(站Zhàn)- stand up or bus stop (the
boy growing up into manhood; a vessel holding the liquid with its fullest
capacity)
系Xì - (silk woven together into a bundle)
統 Tǒng (a silk radicle on the left and a man growing up to the fullest on the right)
We will discuss about continuing
the on-line class in the summer. We,
Raymond, Steve, and I all have fun teaching and learning from ourselves and one another.
I will discuss with the Principal first.
