Philip and Folks, Friends of Mr. & Mrs. Martin:
Thank you for giving me such a lovely evening! The family
recital was a great success.
The Martins organized it so well! I was truly mesmerized by
the repertoire of songs selected by Philip.
They are specific criteria from different
countries, German song "dear Lindenbaum", Franz Schubert "The Organ Grinder", American composer
Copland – “The Boat Man”, “Long Time Ago”, and Taiwanese folk songs - 安童哥 (The Young Servant, AnTungGe Going to the
Market), 母親的名叫台灣 (Taiwan, Mother’s Name) , and 點心店 (The
Street Vendors.)
It was such a memorable special evening spent with friendly
family and Martin's friends! I hope you enjoyed all the songs as much as I do!
The "l Bought me a Cat..." was the highlight won over by the
crowd and the kids! The singalong “The
Amazing Grace”, "For the Beauty of the Earth" and the Christmas
song from the Martins and friends brought us all together to the utmost joy that
l would never forget!
Thank you all! Dale, Rebecca, Ann, Jeffrey, Lowell, Heidi,
Julie, Rolli, Johanna, Janice, Moran, Sierra, Kimberly, Donavan, Wyatt, Quinn,
and Little Todd! Of course, Julia too!
