"A Tale of Two
Seasons - Cherry Blossoms in Spring & Blizzard 2016 in winter"
Enjoy the Wonders of
Mother Nature.
April, 2015 – Spring Scenes at Manette
Ct.
We do not need to be one
of the crowds at DC's Cherry Blossom Festival.
January, 2016 -
Blizzard
We have the real taste of "dig
out", "snow in" and "blizzard" from 1 1/2 days
non-stop snowfall on 1/22/2016
- 1/23/2016.
The famous X'mas light at the
neighbor, Roger's front yard helps "Man of the House" - Ben's
shoveling easier. The narrow sidewalk and the driveway finally emerge
after every four hour's shoveling - total of 24 inches on the
official Chang's stick - drifting snow in the backyard - 30 inches.
It was unbelievably quiet during
the storm on Saturday; the only sound was from the big snowflakes pelting the
foggy window panes all day. It's a beautiful sight to see the layers of
snow formed on the windows. However, on Saturday 6:13 a.m. - the big boom of the thunders awoke me from the
silent night of never-stop snowfalls. We were told it's a rare weather
phenomenon.
What a contrast between the
seasons. These photos represent the best of each season in Maryland.
Despite of the inconvenience caused by snow, whether dusting or blizzard, I
still prefer the change of seasons in this part of the country.
