Kennedy Center Millenium Stage - Summer Outing & Music Imersion
We enjoyed the lovely summer day, pot luck lunch, outing plus cultural immersion program - U.S. legendary premier Navy Band "Country Current".
Seven naval officers and members, are all talented in different musical
instruments- guitar, banjo, drums , fiddle, mandolin, pedal/steel
guitar, together.  They performed a blend of modern country music.  I
was particularly in awe of the fast-beat bluegrass music.  It's
amazing!  The renowned country song  "Missouri" was a solo by the
lead vocalist from Rocky Comfort, Missouri, a rocky terrain and idyllic
countryside small town where he was born.  He misses his hometown! That
was good!  His voice and members' musicianship!  We put our hands over
our hearts while Jen-Jen who was a service retiree saluted to the
National Anthem singing.
Total cost - $23 indoor
parking. with Jen-Jen's driving skills criss-crossing in DC instead of
our early decision of getting around with public transportation,
Ride-On-T2-Subway and Shuttle.....  Thanks to Tom, Mimi's husband's
treat!  We are tennis partners.

Please see the list for next concert and let me know so we can organize it again.
