Folks:
Shinyee, Jia-Her and I connected via Skype successfully last night around 8:30 pm and
9:00 pm. We discussed about the draft schedules for the 1st week and
the 2nd week for the re-union trip. I will consult with my
husband this week
when I have the address from Shinyee’s daughter. It will help us
mapping out the location for different points of interest for the 2nd week.
The
following is only the tentative plans we discussed. We will convene
together for the group Skype discussion after Labor Day this week.
Then, I will have definite ideas about the details
Week 1
10/4
– 10/5 – Relax and settle in after the long distance flight. Enough
sleep for everyone to beat the jet lag issues and grocery shopping to
fit everyone’s personal diet.
10/6 – NCKU-DC hiking trip – Great Falls National Park
10/7 –
Apple/pumpkin picking at the local orchard and a pot luck party in my house may be another possibility
10/8 – Downtown DC tours by subway
10/9 - Shenandoah National Park (Foliage photo shooting/viewing) and Luray Caverns
10/10 – Downtown DC tours by subway again, due to too many museums and monuments in the capital
10/11 – Annapolis – Naval Academy – Baywatch
10/12 – leave for Atlantic City
Week 2
10/12 – Explore the Atlantic City region, check out
the weekly plans offered by the resort for the resort residents
10/13
– 10/18 – Statue of Liberty, Downtown New York, Philadelphia downtown
region, Longwood Garden, Shinyee’s daughter visit, and Amish Country……
etc
Week 3
10/19 – leave for Flushing, check in hotel
10/20 – Janice/Ben leaves for MD due to 6 hours driving back home approximately
10/20 – 10/27 – Shinyee will provide the detailed itinerary
